Join Kate in Maryland for a Howard County Library System talk about the research and writing that went into The Detective's Assistant, which is a nominee for Maryland's coveted Black-Eyed Susan Award! The annual Anderson's Children's Literature Breakfast brings together authors from around the country! Kate will be among many Illinois authors participating in the celebration of children's lit, meeting area teachers and librarians.

It's SCBWI Los Angeles, where hundreds of SCBWI members come together to learn about craft and celebrate books and authors at this three-day extravaganza! It's the Texas Book Festival! And Kate polishes her boots and returns to her old stompin' grounds in the Lone Star State. One of the largest and most prestigious literary festivals in the country, the annual Texas Book Festival features more than 250 nationally and critically recognized authors, over 20 venues including the State Capitol, more than 80 exhibitors, live music, local food trucks, family activities, and countless opportunities to meet authors and fellow book lovers.
